Poor customer service

Between the 9th August and the 13th August Vodacom system deducted 500MB of data from my previous data cycle (expires 31/08/2016). Highlighted in bold italics below balance enquiries, while the current data cycle only dropped 193MB and still had 422MB available (expires 30/09/2016).

9th August 2016

You are on a Smart L package. You have 181m33s Talk Time until 30/09/2016; ; 491 SMS's until 30/09/2016; 447 SMS's until 31/08/2016; 615.93 MB until 30/09/2016; 1000.00 MB until 31/08/2016; 499.80 MB Night Owl until 31/08/2016

13th August 2016

You are on a Smart L package. You have 161m34s Talk Time until 30/09/2016; ; 490 SMS's until 30/09/2016; 447 SMS's until 31/08/2016; 422.04 MB until 30/09/2016; 500.00 MB until 31/08/2016; 487.69 MB Night Owl until 31/08/2016t 2016

After several calls to the call centre with no resolution I logged an issue on the Vodacom app (ref 003S~SCR4, also no real response), I then went into a service centre and again with no joy logged another issue (ref 1- ********** 4599) This reference was closed today with the below comment.

22 August 2016

Dear customer, as per your ref 1- ********** 4599, an investigation has been completed and your billing was found to be completely correct and accurate. To see which apps used your data, go to Settings - Data Usage (change usage cycle to display a specific day). Alternatively you can install ?My Data Manager? to help you identify programs using your data. Have a pleasant day further!

This explanation is a total copout of doing proper analysis and feedback on what is the real cause of the problem. I do not accept this explanation and would appreciate if someone could explain to me how an app can use previous cycle data when there was still existing data available.

What is the definition of "in due course"? is it one day, two days, two weeks? #justasking
