Poor Customer Service

On the 28.09.2018 i walked into the vodacom store in canal walk century city to pay my vodacom account with the amount of R1000.00 i spoke Umir Joins who told me that i do not have to make any payment as the account was up to date and that i only need to make a payment on the 01.11.2018 and i left the store.

on the 11.10.2018 i received a call from the collections department from vodacom i spoke to an agent by the name of Lerato Klaas who wasn't very helpful. I explained to her that i was told in store on the 28.09.2018 when i went to make a payment that there was no payment due on the account and that the account was up to date she then said that she cannot speak for the person in the store as she was seeing on the system that the account was in arrears i then told her so beacuse it was a mistake vodacom has made which i made my duty to go an pay and i was told by the agent in store that i dont have to pay anything. Lerato Klaas has not once told that she will try and sort this out she has shown no empathy and was very helpful when i asked to speak to her manager she placed me on hold for a while came back and then said the manager was busy/in a meeting i then asked about 3 times to speak to a manager advised it was my right as the customer to speak to a manager she then dropped the line.

i then called back to customer care the agent who anserwed my call transfered me to the contract department. i then asked there to speak to a manager who the managers name was Ashwin Abrahams(manager) i explained the situation to him he had no managerial s****s not even offered to look into the matter to see what went wrong also just told me that he cannot speak for what was told to me in the store. He then went on and said so could we set a date as when vodacom can expect a payment i then told him so you not going investigate anything you just forcing a payments now he was rude kept speaking over me until i eventually told i refuse to speak to him will end the call and go to a vodacom store he then ended up saying but we will block your line and the call was ended.

i then took time to drive to canal walk vodacom back to store i originally went to to go an make a payment asked to speak to a manager the manager who was Aneesa Enos came out didn't even have the decency to come to me as the customer asked what the issue was or offer her assistance she just walked pass me whispered to Abasia Bailey over the counter minutes later came back and said the supervisor will help me i then said i asked to speak to a manager not the supervisor and the manager was not even interested in what i had to say she just ignored the matter. This was the second time i walked ionto the store where Aneesa Enos store manager has such a **** i dont care attitude.

I then spoke to the Abashia Bailey who offered to assist me who was extremely helpful and polite she apologized for the inconvenienced caused. I explained the situation to her as well as advised her that her colleague Umir Joins or Jons has told me on the 28.09.2018 when i walked in the store to make a payment of R1000.00 told me that i done have to pay anything as the account was up to date he then gave a print out which he told me on there i will be able to see the balance was R0.00 he was sitting next to her at the time she then checked on their system apologised to me and said that he has given me the wrong information as there was payment due on the account he was not bothered just said he was sorry not even said he will sort out the issue just went on with whatever it was he was doing. I then told them that i as the customer made it my duty to come to the store and make a payment only to be given the wron inforamtion. I am no harrassed by phone calls from vodacom on a daily basis demanding payment when i as the customer is not at fault as i didn't refuse to pay my vodacom account but was told that i dont owe anything.

i am unhappy i want this matter resolved as well as compensation as this is my dame that is now affected and vodacom couldn't care on bit. Vodacom is supposed to be the number 1 network provider but the customer service is pathetic
