Poor Customer Service

I have had a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge on contract with Vodacom for almost a year now and it has been in for Warranty Repairs no less than 6 times. They have replaced everything from the main board to the battery, camera etc.etc. and still it keeps shutting down and doesn't start up again. Currently it is once again booked in with Vodacom Repair Centre, Canal Walk under job number ********** 0 as from 11/08/2017. When I booked it in I was told by Wayne (Technician) that the camera unit is faulty and that he has the spares. It is now the 16th and I have not received a single update from Vodacom. Once again I head off to Vodacom in person, because the 082111 consultant told me to complain on Facebook, because she only deals with sim swaps. So much for the Customer Care Line.

I get told that the Tecnician is still diagnosing my phone. I ask why I did not receive update sms's.....all I get is a shrug of shoulders. I ask to speak to a Manager and she just ignored me like a stop sign.

Do I just take the non-functioning s7 Edge and use it as a paper- weight and wait for my contract to end, so I can go to another provider or is there hope for the paying customer?

I also realise that Samsung's poor quality product is not Vodacom's fault, but the least they can do is practice some decent customer care.

All I need is to be kept updated as to the status of the device, so I don't have to keep driving to Vodacom once a week to check on tje status of a device that I would probably have to book in again within that same week.

If I come across as frustrated.... It's because I am.

The only person who has been helpful is Nonhlanhla Radebe from Vodacom Recovery Team. Even she hit a brick wall when she contacted the service centre in question and was told to send an email, which would be attended to when the manager returns on 17 August.

Reviewer Update
Vodacom have just about redeemed themselves. Got a call from a very professional lady named Lindie after emailing the CEO of Vodacom. Got my device back the same day and it seems to be working beautifully now. Thanks
