Poor customer service

Good Afternoon

Over the past week, I have been getting a significant amount of calls from ********** . I am well aware that this is a number Vodacom uses when calling customers. On a number of occassions I have missed the calls as I am not always on my mobile. On 3 occssions I have managed to answer these calls, once on Tuesday and twice today. Now I must be honest, I do not always get the names of the persons that call me, as I get number of these cold calls per day.

For the call on Tuesday, the sales person was extremly pleasant and understanding. Whilst I appreciated the offer being made, I carefully explained to the sales person why I am not interested in the product. She was understanding and polite.

The second call took place earlier this morning, whereby I explained to the sales person that somebody has already called me to offer me the same product. She understood and once again was quite pleasant. I also asked her to make a note on the system indicating I have been called previously as to reduce the number of calls.

Fast forward to 15:06 today, I answered a third call from Vodacom. This time it was a gentleman. I asked if he was offering the same product as the previous callers to which he rep**** no. I tried to explain to him that I am not looking to take up any offers as I am satisfied with my contract spend and am well aware of my usage. In contract to the previous agents he was quite impolite and actually rude in my opinion. I was offended in the manner in which he spoke to me. I tried to explain I have two contracts with Vodacom which satisfy my needs ant to which point he did not want to listen and ended to call by saying something along the line of "well if you do not want my help, thank you, Bye".

I may have sounded a bit hurried on the call or slightly impatient but I was not at all rude to this person. Whilst I do consent to Vodacom calling me for marketing calls, the number of calls this week alone have been quite inconvenient especially during officer hours.

I have been a long standing customer of Vodacom and have never experienced such treatment before. If this is the way that Vodacom staff are encouraged to liaise with customers, then I am not sure that my business to Vodacom is appreciated. I have dealt with Vodacom consultants for years be it in stores, over social media or by calling and have never experienced this level of customer service before.

I am truly dissappointed and will be considering terminating my relationship with Vodacom at the expiration of my contract in October.
