Poor Customer Service

It would seem that every time i need to upgrade there is some sort of a problem or snagg.

I was very well informed by the lady would assisted me with my upgrade that the phone i want is out of stock. Due to her calmness and efficient customer service i accepted this and was more than willing to wait.

Today i received an sms stating that my quotation has been processed and an order number has been generated - 1- ********** ********** iwht the following stipulated on the message - "...when contacting Vodacom Customer care on 082111 for further enquiries."

I did so as i would like to get an ETA on phone as it would seem it is on order. To my regret i got though to the Direct Sales team to Martin, who promptly advised me that i need to phone a different number as he is unable to assist me. I advised him that the number dailed is from the sms Vodacom sent me and that i do not have the time to phone here and then phone there.

I requested he then find someone who can assist me while i am on the phone now, he promptly again advised that he gave me the number to phone and that he cannot assist.

Why is it that the number provided channels clients to the wrong department, why is it that an employee of that company refuses to assist the client and would rather i put in a complaint that try an assist me while he has access to me on the phone. Where is the TCF in this? (Note: I did worn Martin i will put in a complaint if he does not assist me or find someone to assist me.)(this complaint could have been dealt with on the spot by the individual).

Poor Customer Service. One has to ask the question, why would i want to stay with Vodacom for the next term of my contract?
