Poor Customer Experience

I tried to buy data using the Vodacom App (The benefit of using the App is eg if you buy 250MB (R59.00) then you get another 250MB on top). When doing so I found the App not functioning correctly. I phoned Vodacom and I was advised that the there was indeed a problem with the App. I was therefore forced to dial *111# to procure data. I think that Vodacom owes me the additional 250MB data, because to no wrong doing on my side, the App was not working and therefore I have forfeited the additional 250MB. Enquiring about this the Call Centre advised me that I should have waited until the App functioned properly before I bought data.

I know this is a small matter, but the point is that Vodacom does not care about positive customer experience. It is a matter of "the App is not working...your problem Sir". There was no indication of when it would have been repaired....and I had to pay the price for their non-performance. What a great one-sided arrangement and then also being bound by a 24 month contract. Locked in and captured market they have....no wonder customers come second in their books.
