Poor company communication and pro active issue resolutions!
I have been dealing with Vodacom for some time now as a customer. I am can clearly understand how some people lose themselves and commit rash acts. This is how far I have been down the rabbit hole called Vodacom.
3 May 2019 I paid via eft R3900 on my accounts that had a due amount of R3263.49. This from my business account. All is well. I received several notifications via SMSs that my account was overdue. So, I phone Vodacom, speak to several employees (Lerato, Mahdi, Bubo etc.) Realise the email address I was given to send the proof of payment is supposed to send me a reference number on receipt - I had at this stage received none so far. I ask to be escalated to a supervisor. No but I get to speak to a supervisor via the employee and was told to send the proof of payment to ***. I am told that my lines will be reinstated within 3-4 hours. In good faith I leave it with the competent supervisor.
BTW I have 3, cell phone, data ****le and fibre. All under one account number. My cell and data ****le eventually get reinstated but note not my fibre. I call again and speak to a lady called Mahdi, she is not having a good day and I have not been having several bad days. You see I cannot work without coms as an independent contractor, every day I have no connectivity I literally do not earn a living. Mahdi informs me because I made a mistake that reinstatement of my fibre will take 7-14 working days. You can imagine my reaction to not being able to work for this period. But no, I made a finger error in my payment and used an extra 4 and due to this no escalation of exceptions...wait your turn. See this is after 3 June 2018, I have already made another payment of R2700 with the same reference details.
I call and speak to collections, accounts to expedite the issue no luck. My lines are all down.
Tired of speaking to faceless individuals that do not care I decide let take the time and drive to Vodaworld and see a consultant. I meet Sipo very nice lady, I explain the situation she contacts accounts and do what people generally do in her job. She informs me it will take about 3 hours before the accounts department allocate payments and my lines are activated. Just to be sure I enquire about my fibre line as well. So, I leave the matter in her hands waiting on feedback from Vodacom.
This was Wednesday, today is Friday I am still waiting. Meanwhile I still receive messages that my accounts are in arrears and that payment is required.
Please explain how Vodacom can compensate me for lost wages, loss off my right to use a service I paid for and how much longer you need to resolve a simple matter as allocating a payment?
Since you failed to provide me with the reference numbers except for one this is the one I will use to escalate this matter to ICASA.
Furious client.
