Poor Business Service Delivery

On Friday morning at 1000hrs I requested and ordered an additional SIM card for a spare phone - two SIM account? All relevant paperwork was completed and the transaction processed at 1010hrs. I expected my second SIM to be available within a 24 hour period. The following afternoon I went back to the Vodacom Store in Nicolway to express my dissatisfaction. The manager, Nick, was very helpful and sat on his phone for over 30 minutes talking to Vodacom Business trying to establish what had happened to the transaction. Reference number was confirmed, time of request confirmed, transaction details confirmed. BUT, the response after some 30 minutes was "The transaction request is sitting in an IN TRAY, it cannot be processed as there is no one here with the authority, it will be dealt with only on TUESDAY - we are a business unit and do not work weekends or on holidays" - as relayed to me by Nick on the phone. Is this really the way Vodacom should be dealing with its customers?

Vodacom rep**** to the above only on Wednesday 11th May 2016 with the "complaint has been addressed with the individuals in question. We apologise for the inconvenience caused." There is no further explanation of what was discovered. Why there was a delay? What took them so long in explaining the matter and no recourse of any kind. Just we apologise. Is this sufficient just to say you are sorry when the client is inconvenienced by having to waste time by going back to the Shop. Sitting and waiting while time is wasted on the phone. having to chase up on complaints and emails. So I think it cost me at least two hours of chasing of my own time. How does Vodacom bill for two hours? Pretty heavily. there should be some sort of compensation which would take away the ill feeling. What would you think appropriate. A credit on your account? I wonder what Vodacom will now do?
