Please connect my FIBRE!!!!
I relocated recently on 22 January from one estate (Bushwillow Estate) to another estate (Thornvalley estate). I have an existing Fibre contract and i asked Vodacom to relocate by Fibre connection. The installers came in on 22 January and installed the new router. Unfortunately they could not phone to activate the line because there was a power outage in the area. The installer said i should contact him to activate the line. To this day, his number is unavailable. I then phone Fibre support and logged a ticket on 23 Jan. I was told that it could take 24-48 working hours to activate my line. I was not happy because it was a simple connection of new router, Due to me working from home and my children schooling from home, the fibre line is essential to work seamlessly. I call on both Monday and Tuesday pleading and asking that my line be activated. I was told that the only assistance that could be offered was an email to the support technicians. I asked to be put through to the team but this is not he process. no success and no communication. Akona assisted me in on the Tuesday. Wednesday arrived and no WIFI. By now my SR logged had expired. I spoke to a lady in the morning and she put me on hold while she called one of the technicians. I was surprised because this is not the process explained to me before. After a lengthily wait, i was advised that i request for a Router connection was submitted. I was informed that the technicians would just need to confirm details with the installers (which would take 2-4 hours) and then they would connect me (30min to activate). at the end of the day, no WIFI still, i phoned the number and explained my sorry story again to a lady by the name of Ndileka. i was again informed of the process but believed i would now get assistance. I received an email from Nevina Naidoo request ONTs details. I immediately emailed the details on the back of my router. Thursday morning came and Nevina responded and said he would assist with contacting the technicians. i was informed that the connection would be done. Then there was radio silence, I sent two email to Nevina without response. Friday morning (now a full week since installation). i received another email from Nevina apologising for delay. i requested that my line be active in the morning and ask her to escalate the matter. Again, after follow up email, there was radio silence. Out of desperation, i phone the Fibre line again and spoke to a gentleman names Tashe. i asked him to arrange for his manager/supervisor to call me. He said that someone would call me within the hour (12h30-13h30). I called back at around 13h45 and explained my matter for the upteenth time. I spoke to a lady call Leander. She said that she emailed a manager called Tom and cc'd me on the email. I am yet to receive any email. All i want is my line activated. i spend thousands a month with Vodacom and expect better of them.
