Please be advised not to take Vodacom insurance as their terms and conditions vary from when you take a cellphone cover with them to when they’re supposed to replace you with a new device. I’ve been insured with Vodacom insurance for more than 5 years now, my first 2 claims were as stated in the contract form, it even took them several days to replace the phones. The second phone that I claimed was covered for a lower value and I was explained to that I had to pay betterment fee and excess fee, that went just well. I’ve just claimed an iPhone 11 and I had to increase my premium cover to 10k-15k and I was told that the iPhone 11 value is currently R8k so I will be given a phone worth R8k or I’ll be replaced with a second if not third hand iPhone 13 which I still have to pay betterment fee of R3,5k and excess fee of R1k yet a brand new iPhone 13 is still under my policy cover.
