Pillar to post in attempts to get information

On Thursday 18 June I received an sms stating my roadside assistance documents were ready. I subsequently enquired with vodacom customer care by email what this was regarding and to clarify that I never app**** for such service; my existing insurance offers this type of cover. An authentication email was followed they 3 security question which was correct. A response from Jannell Meyer with the incorrect name and number advising that I have failed authentification and that I would need to call the policy department on ***0 which I called; I selected the correct options however was routed to a department for reporting or requiring assistance instead of requiring more information related to the policy I. Question. The lady who assisted then provided me a number to cancel which turn out to be contract cancelation department. I do not understand how I should be running around trying to cancel or get information for something I never app**** for. I would like to know how this instruction was received and I would like this cancelled immediately.
