Phones disconnected due to Vodacom negligence
I asked the consultant to move the debit order to the 15th. He said they would deduct the twice in Aug if I do that. I moved it to the 7th and he assured me it will not be deducted twice. On 7 Aug the debit order for Jul was deducted and there was no money in the acct. The amount was only due on the 7th of Sept so I left it. On 1 Sept Vodacom suspended all the phones on my account stating that I was in arrears. I phoned customer service and was transferred to the accounts dept, I spoke to the rudest man. No matter what I said or how I explained he just kept saying that I was in arrears and I have to pay. I asked to speak a supervisor he put me on hold and never came back. I phoned back and ask that my debit order be canceled completely and that I would pay the account via EFT in future. She asured me the debit order is no longer going to be deducted but that the phones will only be unlocked when the full account is paid, which is ridiculous as it is Vodacom's fault that the phones were suspended in the first place. Since this call I have had 2 sms's reminding me to make a payment on the 3rd to avoid being suspended. I paid this morning, phones are still off at 17h00.
