Phone Vodacom insured..NOTHING gets done!!

I started having charging issues with my Samsung S7 so I took it to the Vodacom repair shop (Corner Main Road and Drama Street Shop 23) on the 28/04/2018. The device was booked in with Abdullah Harris which let me fill in the normal repair form as well as the Vodacom insurance form, an insurance payment which is included in my monthly debit order to Vodacom which I have been paying every month.

Later that afternoon I received a message on a temporary phone I had, that there is a charge of R3000.00 ??? . Why quote me when the phone is still insured...surely the first thing to do in this situation is to check with the Insurance rather then sending out a quote. I called the shop and spoke to a consultant which didn't seem to care at all or try to really assist. She said that she would have to check with the Insurance and let me know.....

I heard nothing from nobody no email no call NOTHING!!! Surely that is NOT service!!. I decided I had to email them as they are not following up.

The mails sent between myself and the Repair Shop are below: ====================================== Samsung S7 Repair - ********** 3- ********** 6 Inbox x

Kind Regards Mishkah From: "Vodacom Repairs Somerset West Mall, VD" ********** To: "Herbert Koorzen" ********** Sent: Friday, 4 May, 2018 13:50:41 Subject: Re: Samsung S7 Repair - ********** 3- ********** 6 =================================================== There is no info whatsoever on these emails which tells me anything about the situation or what has been done. It really do not think it is too much to ask for to just provide some info on what is happening instead of just "attaching" a quote which I may add was not attached on two instances ?? The agent didn't even bother to properly check the status on the repair whether the device was insured or what the case is.

I called the shop today 2018/05/07 around 14:30 to get to a resolution point as I cannot just sit and wait around as clearly they are not driving this. I spoke to Mishkah and again was asked whether it was insured and if I filled in the form. I explained that I did fill it in and that they have asked me this before. She then said again that she will have to check with the insurance which tells me THIS HAS NOT BEEN DONE SINCE THE PHONE WAS DELIVERED!!!!

The whole reason one pays for insurance is to cover for events like these is it not!!!!!

She told me that she will let me know, and it was at this point that I asked her to email me as I cannot answer the temp phone during the day due to the nature of my work environment. I have received NO EMAIL BACK....

I seriously cannot struggle this long for something which shouldn't be such a issue. At LEAST let me know what is happening in a PROPER WAY!!!!

EXTREMELY BAD SERVICE I WILL NEVER TAKE INSURANCE WITH VODACOM EVER AGAIN, AND ADVISE ALL I KNOW AGAINST IT !
