Copy of a post put on Makro's and Vodacom's fb pages to which I have not had the courtesy of a reply. A few months ago we went to Makro to upgrade a contract. One of the phones offered to us was the Redmi Note 3 which is apparently a Vodacom product...its a Vodacom contract. After much deliberation, the user decided on this phone. The sales talk was amazing and made the phone sound like an awesome one to have. We asked for the screen protector and same was provided at a cost of R200. No phone covers available...they had sold out apparently. This, to us, was a good sign...surely it must be a popular phone. So the inevitable happens...the phone is knocked and falls face down on tiles. The PLASTIC screen cover did nothing to protect the screen...its shattered. Went to Makro on 21.10.2017...sorry, they cant help. Off we go to Vodacom repair centre at the Bridge Greenacres...sorry, this is a dual sim and we don't work on those and Makro should have explained this to us. Moral of the story...we have a Vodacom product sold to us by Makro that neither can or are prepared to assist us with to have repaired. I will take this matter to every social media platform i can find. #disgusted #letspassthebuck #****service
