Phone blacklisted by Vodacom "by accident"

On Wednesday 16/11/2016, I phoned Vodacom customer care services to have an old phone of mine blacklisted which I lost. Since Wednesday evening 19:00, I was unable to use my own phone, which is being used for business, to make or receive any phone calls.

When I contacted the customer care line again on Thursday morning, 17/11/2016, to establish what the problem was, I was advised that my current phone was also blacklisted on Wednesday. I never requested that my current phone should be blacklisted and I never gave the IMEI number for my current phone - I only requested the old phone to be blacklisted and only provided that phones IMEI number. As I am typing this message, my phone has been down for 96 hours. When I called on Thursday morning (17/11/2016) I was advised that my phone will work 100% again within the next 24 hours.

Vodacom customer care has promised call back after call back, but nobody ever gets back to me. Also, every time I call the customer care number, I have to hold the line for at least 15 minutes before any consultants answer the phone and all I get promised is another call back.

I’ve spoken to Samantha on Thursday 17/11/2016, who said the problem will be resolved within 24hours and said she will call me back at 10:00 (I am still waiting for her call back)

On Friday 18/11/2016 @ 09:00, I’ve spoken to Pontso who advised she will transfer me to the solutions team and then the call was dropped.

On Friday 18/11/2016 @ 09:30, after I had to call back and hold the line for another 10minutes, I’ve spoken to Nora in the solutions department who advised she will call me back at 13:00 on Friday (I’m still waiting for the call back) and also advised that another person (I cannot remember from which department) will call me back by 15:00 latest (I am also still waiting for that call)

I am paying almost R 800 per month for my phone alone, and this is the type of service I receive after a mistake from Vodacom’s side? As already stated, I use this phone for business, and my business is suffering because of a mistake from Vodacoms side.
