Persistent Issues with Vodacom Contract Termination and Unwanted Phone Calls

I am writing to address a series of issues I have encountered with my Vodacom contract and the subsequent attempts to terminate it. I appreciate your attention to this matter and hope for a prompt resolution.

To provide some background, I had entered into a data contract with Vodacom for a duration of two years. Unfortunately, throughout the contract period, I faced consistent problems with connectivity in my area and experienced difficulties when traveling, especially during load shedding. Despite these challenges, I honored my contractual obligations and fulfilled all payments accordingly.

As the contract term was approaching its end, I took several measures to request the termination of the agreement. Firstly, Vodacom contacted me two months prior to the expiration date, inquiring about the possibility of renewal. I specifically stated my desire to cancel the contract at the end of the term, and it was confirmed during our conversation. However, I never received written confirmation of this request.

Additionally, I personally reached out to Vodacom on two separate occasions to reiterate my request for contract termination. Regrettably, my verbal appeals were ignored, prompting me to resort to written communication. I sent an email clearly stating my intention to terminate the contract after the agreed termination date.

To my disappointment, Vodacom continued debiting funds from my account despite my repeated attempts to terminate the contract. In response, I had no choice but to reverse and block the debit orders, as I firmly believe I have fulfilled my financial obligations and should not be charged beyond the two-year period.

Moreover, I am deeply concerned about the recent phone calls I have been receiving from individuals claiming to be agents on behalf of Vodacom. These questionable calls have involved requests for personal details, which has raised my suspicions regarding their legitimacy. I kindly request that you investigate this matter thoroughly to ensure the protection of customer data and prevent any potential *****ulent activities.

Lastly, it has come to my attention that I am being summoned for reasons unbeknownst to me. I implore you to review your records, including the mentioned phone calls, to clarify any misunderstandings and immediately halt the issuance of summons. I have already expended significant financial resources on a service that proved unsatisfactory, and I firmly stand by my decision not to pay anything beyond the agreed-upon two-year period.

I sincerely hope that you take my concerns seriously and address them with utmost urgency. I believe in a fair and amicable resolution, one that upholds the principles of customer satisfaction and integrity that Vodacom is known for.

Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I trust that you will rectify the situation promptly.

Hi, thank you for getting back to me. I have received the statement. I require a full statement from start to finish, indicating contract start and end dates. I will settle anything inside the contract period, but not a day after that.
The statement is only for the last year - I require a full year please. Also - the summons indicates 680 outstanding - Im sure a full statement of the entire contract will clarify that.
