Paying for contract without having the device

Vodacom is failing to perform their responsibilities in terms of a contract entered into on 7 November 2017.

I have signed a contract for an iwatch, the store (The Grove Mall) were out of stock and I was assured that the stock will arrive in about two weeks' time and that I will be phoned as soon as it arrives.

The following dates I have been in touch with Vodacom in that I either phoned the branch or Customer Care, or sent an email to **********

10/11/2017 14/11/2017 20/11/2017 24/11/2017 28/11/2017 6/12/2017 11/12/2017 27/12/2017

I have not received any response and today, 28/12/2017 published on Facebook that I was not satisfied. The response received was ridiculous to say the least.

I was informed to get in touch with the Store Manager to obtain an estimated time of arrival.

I do not believe that a so called "leading service provider" can have a back-log on devices for a period of 7 weeks.

And should there have been such a back-log, Vodacom should never have entered into the agreement with me. If a party is in breach of contract, such a party should make a plan to perform their duties. Vodacom should then go to iStore and get me a device.

I don't know what more I can do in order to obtain the device (for which the second debit order is being deducted at the end of this month).

I am surely not renewing any contracts with Vodacom and will never refer a friend to them in future.

Thank you for the courtesy call Lucian, I really appreciate it. It is just a pity that it had to go this far to get an ETA. Regards, Anerike
