PAYING FOR A DEVICE I CANNOT USE

Some time ago I took out a Samsung tab on contract. After a few months of use, my tab stopped charging.
I took the tab back to the store that I took out the contract. I then got a call saying that I needed to pay R650.00 for the repair. When I asked why I was told that, that particular part does not fall under warranty. I refused to pay as I was not informed of omissions on the warranty when I took out the contract. To date I am paying for something that I cannot use. If vodacom can show me where in the contract it states that a certain part is not covered by a warranty, I will be at ease.

I want answers Vodacom because I am quite sick and tired of the service (or rather the lack there off) that I receive.
This is not the first time
