Pay for software update

Went into vodacom at menlyn with help with a problem with my iPhone6. The technician looked at it and told me it needed a software update. I explained to him that the update was done to the 10.11 as recommended by Apple yesterday. Without even looking or listening to my problem he said it would cost me R240 for the update. I asked him why must I pay it if my phones updates are to to date and that I am a vodacom customer with an average bill of R15000.00 per month. I was then told they are outside technicians that work for vodacom. I find this unacceptable as I am leaving the country tomorrow and needed it rectified now and was not prepared to pay that amount of money for a software update if my phones updates are up to date. No wonder Cell C is growing. Vodacom are money hungry and are not prepared to help. Cell C you going to have a new customer.
