Pay even after you pass away

My father in law passed away last week, I went to Vodacom and asked what we do now with his SIM only contract. I was callously told keep paying till the contract ends.

Seriously? Are Vodacom that hard up for subscribers that they even want deceased ones on their books.

The contract was a SIM only, so there is not even a phone involved here. I am so glad I am not a Vodacom customer, they really take the cake on this one.

So very nicely I recieved a reply from VC web team with the legal department email address, sadly no reply on that nor the subsequent email I sent enquiring about my enquiry.
Why is it that companies are so slack to repospond to their customers queries?
It really seems that they dont care, as long as you are bound by contract to pay, they are happy.
Sadly it all comes down to individuals, people all want to be paid but some want to do as little as possible for it.
