Pathetic Vodacom Service

Today I experienced the worse client services at Vodacom.

At 14: 58, I walked into Sandton’s Vodacom shop and left the store two hours later (16:50) with the same unresolved issues. Wasted two whole hours out of my day with nothing to show for it!

Vodacom’s employee, mr. Lazola, who assisted me, kept on typing my id digits incorrectly into the pop-up tab. After assisting me for 30 min he only realized that he is assisting me with someone else’s account statements. The whole time, while he was assisting me, he was talking to the other colleagues and joking around. He kept on telling me that he would not be able to resolved my issue in store and that I should phone the after service department to assist me. He even gave me his phone to call them as he was getting annoyed when I told him that I am not leaving the store till I get some answers. How can he aspect me, one of Vodacom’s paying customers, who drove all the way to Sandton city’s Vodacom store in my lunch break, to phone Vodacom to resolve my issue, whiles standing in the Vodacom shop? Highly unprofessional. I asked to speak to the store manager, ms. Shoni, how also said she could not assist me.

So now I have no choice, but to tell my story on Hellopeter, as I need some answers.

Two weeks ago a friendly lady from Vodacom phoned to inform me that my current Internet ****le device is due for an update. ( a contract which I took out in Feb 2016) The lady reassured me that this has no cost or what so ever involved, that I just need a new ****le and that I even upgrade from a 2gb to a 5gb free of charge. I know the call center’s record their calls so I asked her if this phone call is being recorder so that I will have something on record incase something goes wrong. I also told her that It would be perfectly fine if they upgrade my contact only if there are no costs involved. Her direct words was that I would not pay anything extra, that I would only keen on paying my current amount that I have been paying.

2 days after the phone call a currier came to my offices and delivered my parcel. I had to sign in order to get the parcel. On the 22 September R99.50 was Debited from my account. On the 1st of September my original amount of R139.00 was debited and this morning another R258.70 was debited from my account. So this is the reason for me going into the Vodacom store today to find out why I have been debited al 3 times. I was misinformed and Vodacom gave me a second ****le which I do not need. The modle they have provided me with is a modle which is currently older than the one I took out in Feb. I have an Vodacom R209-Z model and the one they recently provided me with is an R207 model.

I tried to call the “After serves department” 3 times with the number they provided me in store with ( the ********** number) and spoke to Philani as well as Modli and both of them hung up on me after 10 minutes of waiting.

Vodacom needs to revers and come collect this older model that they provided me with, as I do not want or need two devices. I WAS MISUNFORMED and now I am stuck in this situation where nobody seem to be able to help me out of it. I disputed all debit orders from Vodacom until this situation is resolved.
