Pathetic Vodacom Fibre and indifferent service (as soon as they have a debit order around your neck)

I am supposed to be on a 20 Meg/second Fibre package with Vodacom - But dozens of speed-tests and resets NEVER give me more than 12 comma something Mb/s at best. Clearly, just to fob me off and get rid of me, I get every different, contradicting excuse (or blaming me) in the book from call centre agents that are able to do nothing more than just say what their screen tells them. One says I have been getting 20Mbs since last month (no matter what my endless speed tests say), another says it will only kick in next month (so what is it?). One says it slows down if I have more than one device connected (even if they are inactive on the network - I think that is technically and factually incorrect, but who cares, as long as they get rid of me, right?)......but I get the exact same test result if I have only one device connected. Its somehow always my fault, because what their computer screen says must be the unquestionable truth and there is no willingness to take it further)....that is the prevailing shoddy service attitude in South Africa.

Reviewer Update
Thankfully, Vodacom's internal process of migration was finally sorted out 5 weeks after Vodacom claimed the migration had been done (the problem was nothing to do with my computer or my router or my house or suburb), only after an outsourced technician (read: the only person that I ever got contact with that actually understands the full technical process) had to come to my house to confirm that the problem was not here but between Vodacom and Octotel. It appears that it was a simple matter of proper communication between Vodacom's OUTSOURCED Fibre Call Centre and Octotel, and making a click or two on software at Octotel. I am grateful to have the problem sorted out, but I stand by my complaint of poor service and lack of technical competence.
