Pathetic & shocking service - Vodacom

I took my phone to Vodacom Repairs in Menlyn Mall as I had a cracked screen. Asked them how long it will take to replace the screen through the insurance as I am with Vodacom Insurance and I pay R200-00 per month for 1 iPhone. I was given 3 options and was told that Vodacom does not repair iPhones, it would be best just to replace the phone with a new phone. After long deliberation, I decided to hand my phone in on Friday 29 November 2019 in anticipation of receiving a replacement phone on the Saturday 30 November 2019. I was told not to come to the store to collect the phone on the Saturday, until I receive a call from Vodacom Insurance that will give the go-ahead (approval & possible excess) for the collection. Great ! Come Saturday afternoon at 13h30, I have not received any phone call whatsoever, and decided to call the Vodacom Insurance to check on the progress. Only to be told that they have not received the quote for the repairs, and that nothing can be done until they received the quote. The woman who helped me (Grace) actually dropped the phone on me, because she couldn't understand "why I blame them for this matter". I then called the Menlyn Store where I spoke to Miriam Malate (Assistant Manager), and she was quite abrupt in advising me that I will not get my phone on the weekend, and that I am looking towards Tuesday 03 December 2019 for my phone, as it takes at least 48 hrs for the process to complete. And I needed to give her the name of the person I dealt with at the store, so she could ask them how I was going to get my phone on the Saturday as promised. I left it there. I went into the store this morning, spoke to someone else to get clarity regarding my phone, and i was told that the phone is leaving today to the repairs center, it will be collected this evening, and I am likely to get a quote on Wednesday or Thursday of this week. Oh, I was also informed this morning that Vodacom has now started to repair the iPhones and won't just replace them with new phones anymore. Hello, whose problem is that ? After I told them that I am doing business on my phone (and I am losing business as a result of not having my phone) I was advised that my best option is to buy a phone until i get my replacement phone. Firstly, I have a iPhone (obviously with a iPhone sim card), therefore I would be expected to buy an iPhone to stay in contact with my "contacts" on my phone. An iPhone (in fact any phone) is not cheap! How do you expect me to just buy a phone due to your incompetence? Miriam Malate was of course at the office this morning, but too high up the ranks to come and talk to me. I got given my sim card by the consultant in anticipation that I would buy a phone. I am disgusted by your terrible and unacceptable service, it cannot be condoned !!
