Pathetic Service Vodacom
I am absolutely disgusted by the service received from Vodacom. I have cancelled my contract however continue to be debited monthly. I tried to provide notice of cancellation since May 2020 however was told it was too early. As advised and required, I gave telephonic notice of cancellation in June and was told the last debit order would be in September. I disputed this as I signed a contract on 31 July 2018 however the consultant explained that the customer is debited in arrears and thus the last debit will be in September 2020. Well to my surprise, I was debited again at the end of October 2020. I contacted Vodacom and was told that the contract was never cancelled hence the debit. I disputed this and requested a copy of the recording and a refund. I was told that it would be escalated. I also requested a reference number and was told that I could use the number that I called from as a reference. Surprise, surprise about 2 weeks later I received a call from Vodacom enquiring if I would like to upgrade my contract and according to the consultant there is no record of my cancellation on the system. I once again contacted Vodacom last week to enquire about the call received and was told again that there is no record of my cancellation. I spoke to Cynthia Dlamini and requested copies of the recording and the refund. I also enquired if the cancellation will now be given effect to. I was told that she will have to request the recordings and undertook to contact me before the end of the day. Further, once in receipt of the recordings, she will then be able to attend to the cancellation and give me a reference number. To date I have not received a call from Cynthia and no doubt at the end of the month Vodacom will once again debit my account for a contract that was cancelled 3 months ago. In a time of Covid, when people are counting every cent, it is sad to see companies like Vodacom *****ing from their customers.
