Pathetic service Vodacom 4U Eastgate and Customer Service

On 31.03.2016, I went to Vodacom4U (Eastgate) to downgrade my contract from Red Advantage package to Choose Smart S package. I completed and signed all the necessary documentation and was advised that the downgrade would be implemented immediately and active on 01.04.2016. I was satisfied that this would be done. I was then given a new phone (IPhone6). I did not check my bank statements to verify that Vodacom was deducting the downgraded amount from my account at the end of April and end of May 2016.

Since then:

On 17.05.2016, I was advised by SMS that the downgraded contract would be activated on 01.06.2016.

This raises the following:

1. I want a refund being the difference of the two contacts /month (Red Advantage and U Choose S package) for the month for April and May 2016.
2. Jason from your Customer Care advised on 17.03.2016 that if the contract was not implemented within 5 days, this contact becomes null & void. If this contract is now only being implemented on 01.06.2016, then either a Vodacom staff member **********ly signed a new contract (purporting to be me) or your staff are ignoring and contravening your policies.
3. On 30.05.2016, my Red Advantage contract was terminated prematurely (instead of on 31.05.2016) with the result that on 31.05.2106, I had no data or airtime credits available. I use this phone for business and was severely prejudiced. On 01.06.2016, the new u Choose Smart S contract was activated.
4. I had 2 SIM cards with the same number for my phone and IPad. On 01.06.2016, my IPad was not connected. Upon enquiry with Vodacom, I was told that I had called telephonically and cancelled this SIM card for my IPad. (if this is the case, could I please request this recording? As all calls are recorded? Correct?) This is an outright lie and I resent and object strongly to your staffs’ misrepresentations and attempts to pass the blame for your staffs actions, incompetence and mistakes to me. I asked that the IPad SIM be re-activated but was told that this was impossible and that I would have to go in to a Vodacom branch to make a new application to re-activate this SIM. This is a huge inconvenience and I cannot understand why I have to be put out, inconvenienced, take time away from my business to come and apply for an error made by your staff to be rectified.

5. On top of that I was given a phone that has a problem and its constantly with out Service.

The following action needs to be attended to:

1. I insist on immediate action to credit my account in full

2. Re-activate my IPad SIM

3. A written apology from Vodacom

4. Vodacom to collect the handset to inspect why it is not working as it should (at Vodacoms cost).
