Pathetic service regarding upgrades.

Vodacom

I was advised by Vodacom that i qualify for an upgrade. I was extremely excited and on 19 July, I called the online Upgrades department to proceed with the same. Even though the service i received was good - my frustration soon after started:

1. Even though being advised that i qualify for the upgrade, i still have to pay a migration fee till end of October. This is extremely confusing as what would be the point if qualifying for an upgrade if i am to just migrate? False advertising.;

2. With the initial phone call, I was promised that delivery of my new phone would take place within 3-5 working days. Not receiving any feedback or current status on this matter, I followed up with Vodacom, only to be advised that delivery takes place after 7 days, which subsequently has also lapsed. I was also advised by the consultant that that his colleague who processed the request would follow up and revert back ASAP. I have still not received any feedback. (Phone calls are recorded, please check the same).;

3. Subsequent to the above, i have been contacting Vodacom since Friday last week.(Again, please check my phone records). For some unfathomable reason, cannot seem to reach Upgrades department to follow up directly- my phone call is always transferred to call centre or sales department, only to be advised they cannot assist. Even after having explained that I was transferred to the wrong department (as there is no obviously no getting through to the Upgrades department, which i phoned directly), not only am i advised that they cant assist, i am also appalled hearing one agent "sighing" over the phone when they heard my query. As if it is my fault that I got transferred to the wrong department.;

4. After various phone calls, an sms (Dear Vodacom Customer, we trust you had a great service experience. If your query was not resolved, simply reply NO within 24 hrs and we will call you back.), was received TWICE. I have rep**** "NO" both times, only to be disappointed as i still have yet to receive the courtesy if a phone call.

The above being said, i hereby request the following:

a). Vodacom to please check my phone records as to how many times i have contacted/ tried contacting you. Hopefully you will then understand my level of frustration.;

b). Should i not receive an update /courtesy of a phone call within 24 hours, I will not be renewing any of my remaining contracts, which will ultimately be cancelled as a result of lack of service. I cannot see as to why i should continue a relationship with yourselves when it is clearly only "one-sided".
