Pathetic service received from you consult.
On 13/10/23 enquired on a Vodacom double deal contract from Makro Crown Mines which I then signed a contract on 20/10/23 as the phones had to be ordered and I had no issue with. I was assisted by Grace Matolong. During our conversation with Grace, I advised that I need a 24-month contract and not a 36-month contract which I was promised however I was made to sign a 36-month contract on 20/10/23. I got to work and called Grace to say I don't have the copy of the contract with, and I need the contract term to be changed to 24 months. I was then advised that I need to come into the store, and she will to re-invoice the phones. on 21/10/23 I returned to the store with the phones to the store for the re-invoicing. The phone where still sealed in their original package including the sim cards.
On 21/10/23, I drove to the store and to my arrival to the store, I was then told that Grace is weekend off, I will be back on Monday and no one is available to assist me after spending 45 mins in traffic to get to the store, with frustration and the thoughts of how this lady has been unprofessional with assist me to the contract and thinking I can overlook it all. I then requested to see the manager whom I hoped would be of help. I was then introduced to the manager by the name of Basil to whom I expressed my frustrations to and requested a cancellation of the contract. The manager asked one of the staff to pull out the signed contract, this lady was not a representative of Vodacom who looked through the contract and more over my personal staff such my pay slip and bank statement and I was in shock of how this happens, are these people not trained on POPIA and the manger walk away as this lady does all of this and I just had to keep myself done.
I call my partner to express my frustration and reminds that when we were the store, Grace mentioned that you earn way more than her and even her manager does not take home an amount equivalent to my net and the assumption is that they could have stayed there and had a conversation of your net salary and the ****orker wanted to do was to satisfy herself to what she was fed by Grace. I then received a call Grace on Tuesday dated 24/10/23 and pursuing me not to cancel the contract and after giving this some thought, on 25/10/23 I sent an email to Grace requesting cancellation of the contract and I received no call or email from Grace.
On 26/10/23 I then approached a Vodacom outlet in Jabulani mall and i met very nice and professional sales consultant and advised on my situation and that I need to take up a contract. They looked into my staff and advised that the contract still reflects opened and they took their time and called Makro to speak to Grace and for over 45 mins over the phone no availability. I then drove to the store and when I got there, I found Grace and she laughed out loud and said "Thoko was I not telling you that I've been calling Mpho and his not picking up, I told don't lie, I sent you an email yesterday requesting cancellation and she advised that she not seen it, I told her that the email was send yesterday at 08:20 and its now the next day 16:50 and still have not seen the email? only then did she say oooh I see your mail, which i told her that she read it and avoided the mail. I will request Vodacom to cancel the contract. I also told her that am very dissatisfied with Vodacom running 3 credit checks over one contract 3 days consecutively. On Friday dated 27/10/23, I received a call from Basil the manager who advised that the contract have been cancelled and they are in communication with Vodacom head office to close the contract and I will receive confirmation from Grace today dated 30/10/23 that the contract has been cancelled. At 13:15 today, I sent a follow up email to Grace which to till now i have not received response. This comes across as if i am being made a favor to take out this contract and not served.
Vodacom, I feel disappointed and so mislead by Grace and her manager Basil and can you please close this open contact that I may open up a contract with your Vodacom store in Jabulani as the consultants there are professional and willing to help and not playful and unprofessional like Grace Motolong of Makro Crown Mines.

I write this with further great disappointment. Yesterday I visited a Vodacom store to lift a new contract and to my surprise, the contact was cancelled but not closed resulting in arears and affecting my credit profile. I am also shocked Vodacom is also referring me to store and not assisting me with this issue.
When I got to Makro, I was accepted by Vodacom consultant all dressed in gear representing Vodacom and not the store as all your signage was there and I filled out a Vodacom application and not that of Makro store. I still have not received any call from a Vodacom consultant. I am seeking help from Vodacom and Makro.
I was also advised that this is a typical behavior of Vodacom consultants cancelling contract but not closing the contract after they have lost a business to get back to the customer and I believe that this what is being done to me. Can you please close this account that I may lift up a contract. Vodacom you also have the liberty to advise me that you don't want to me to have a contract with me then I can go to MTN or Telkom. I am also getting disappointed with Vodacom in not giving this compliant attention and also getting the mind that Vodacom is at ease and comfortable with the unprofessional consultant named Grace Motolong.
