Pathetic service from Vodacom and rude support

I upgraded my contract a few months ago and was granted 10gigs data which I was told does not expire unless you use it up. This was great. I used it for almost 2 months. I checked my Balance on the 31 December 2016 and it confirmed I had a balance of R599.50; 15.74 GB of data valid until the 15/09/2020.

On the 1st Jan 2017 I checked it again to see if the airtime was topped up. My balance statement then read: balance of R791.98; 0 MB of data available. Thought it was an error so decided to check it the next day. To my shock the data was indeed gone. The sms confirmation is written proof that that data should still be valid.

I then contacted Vodacom on the 9 Jan 2017, to see what had happened to my data. The frst agent was not able to assist me so she was going to transfer me to another agent who could assist. She said she would explain what has happened. I was transferred to a very ****y and arrogant agent "Thumi". He greeted and then immediately started telling me the data has expired and no data lasts longer than 30 days then he changed that statement to 60 Days, Without getting my story correct. He said the sms I got is an error and that is Vodacom’s fault. I asked him if he is not working for Vodacom? After I went off at him for his arrogance and lack of customer service, I told him I will log a complaint with Hello Peter. He then was quick to change it tune and said he would escalate this matter.

I have been a client with Vodacom for so many years to receive such service is appalling. I would like this matter looked into. My data should be reimbursed based on the sms confirmation regardless if it is an error which is not my fault.
