Pathetic Service
Yesterday, my partner suddenly found out that she couldn’t use her cell phone. If she tried to make a call, she got told that her phone was not registered on the Vodacom network. Further to this, she had zero signal as well and couldn’t do anything that required an internet connection. She asked her mother to try and assist her with getting in contact with Vodacom, as she is also on their network. When her mother phoned through, she got told she couldn’t assist, as the owner of the number had to contact the call centre directly. Even after her mother explained that she is on probation with her new company, and that she couldn’t use the company phone for private calls, they said they still couldn’t help her. This is now where our beloved lowered education in the country really becomes hysterical. Even after her mother informed the Vodacom call centre that her phone couldn’t make any calls whatsoever, the retards on the line proceeds to tell her that the owner of the number must phone from her cell phone as it is a free call. Her mother, reminding them that the phone could not make calls, or doesn’t have any signal at all, the idiot then tells her if she cant make calls, she must send a Wattsapp to their call centre. Gotta love the 30% pass rate that’s employed in this country!!! Her mother then came round to us last night, to lend her phone to contact Vodacom. The person on the other side of the phone, informs my partner that her line has been hard locked by Vodacom. When she asked why this was the case, she got told she has no idea why this has happened. My partner tells the lady that she knows her account is in arrears, but she has made a payment arrangement with Vodacom, that they have accepted. She even received an sms thanking her for the payment and debit order arrangement. When she got put through to a supervisor, she basically got told that they cant help her at all, and have no idea why she got hard locked after an arrangement had been made. I then spoke with the supervisor, Mpho, ad said to her that she had an hour to rectify the problem. I am still waiting for feedback over 14hrs later. My partner now has no means of contact with anyone, nor can she receive calls from her children’s school should there be an emergency. Nor can she get hold of anyone should she be involved in an accident or some form of emergency occurs. I would like to congratulate Vodacom for breaking their own agreement, and for putting someone in a predicament such as this. The blatant don’t care attitude towards their customers is beyond astonishing, especially the lower educated employees that they employ to supposedly assist client with any queries or complaints. This is the exact same **** poor service that I received from Vodacom a few years ago, as well as having to deal with people with the IQ of a peanut butter sandwich that couldn’t understand basic English, even when what they were saying, completely contradicted the written proof I had in front of me. I would further like to congratulate Vodacom, for showing this country exactly why we are displayed as one of the worst when it comes to customer service, and for ensuring that we continue to spiral downwards as badly as what we are!!
