Pathetic service and increased contract

I have been a customer of Vodacom’s for 10+ years and I am applaud at how pathetic this company has become. This is quite a long story, I called in a few months ago wanting to cancel the service contract for the one number (no device) and was met with the most unprofessional consultant that might the most infuriating comments and quite frankly shouldn’t be in customer service. I wasn’t able to cancel as if need to pay in to cancel. A month or so goes by and I get a call from a lady wanting to give me a better offer on the same number I wanted to cancel. I told her I wasn’t interested as I’d be cancelling the contract in Jan. She informed me that my contract was in fact a month to month and what the previous consult advised was not true, more irritation. Anyway I decided to go ahead with her offer as a saving is a saving. I get the documents and surprise, my contract is extended for 2 years!!! I then get debited more than the initial amount I was prior to this “new deal”, I call in get informed the that the new deal has cancelled out the previous discount app**** to the contract so I am in fact paying more than before for the SAME SERVICE! I was then informed they would credit the difference and reverse the offer and my account would be charged the original price. The following month I get an invoice and shockingly enough the invoice was EVEN HIGHER than the increased invoice from the month before. March and April invoice amount was R222 May - 272 June - 280 Again I spoke to some that assured me this has now been sorted out. A with no surprise this morning was debit 235.90 which I understand is only R13 more, but it’s not Vodacom’s to take! So this shows me that the credit was app**** but the account contract amount has not been sorted out. I find it disgusting that this is the path Vodacom has chosen to conduct business, is the hope to deduct small amounts more from each customers I’m hope they don’t say anything to just add to the bottom line?? Imagine deducting a measly 58 more from each one of your customers, the profits would be insane.

I will 100% be cancelling in January and moving to a new provider.
