Pathetic Service and a bunch of Cheats!!! ***

On the 20th October 2016, I checked my balances on My Vodacom and via the the sms service and it both reflected that I had 5MB of 1.39 GB remaining. I then proceeded to utilise my data very sparingly and mainly utilised WIFI at home (deactivating mobile data).

I checked on the 22nd October 2016 via both options and it still reflected that I had 5MB of 1.39 GB remaining.

On the 26th October 2016, I checked my bill so far on the My Vodacom app and it reflected a balance of R1300 and it reflect my data as being 5.00MB of 1.39GB remaining. I then called the call centre number 114 and spoke to Pam at 09:53 and she advised that my bill reflects data charges of R270. I queried this amount as it states that I still have data, so I cant understand why im being charged out of bundle rates. Pam tried to connect me to the Solutions Department but the call was cut and she called me back to advise that Bongani at Solutions will contact me.

At 13h10, I still had not heard from any person at Vodacom and then I called the call centre number again and got through to Mary. I had to again explain my query to Mary. She put me on hold to contact the Solutions desk. Upon her return to the call, she told me that I have 5 MB available but this megs is reserved for 1 application and any other application will be charged at out of bundle rates. After a few minutes of trying to understand what Mary was actually saying, I then proceeded to ask where in there communication i.e. website or contract does this notify the client. I asked this because I usually get a message to notify me that I am being charged out of bundle rates or my data balances would reflect as 0 and then I would purchase an additional data bundle. I was then told that 'I should learn how the internet works' and that 'I should google how the internet works.'

Feeling very offended, I said that I know how the internet works and that I would like to be directed to where the communication is that states the 5MB scenario. Mary kept asking if there was anything else she could assist me with but I rep**** that my question was not answered. She kept repeating if she could help me with anything else as she was under the impression that my query was solved but I kept insisting on an answer and then eventually I was asked where I opened my contract and told to go back there for them to explain this scenario.

I advised that I cant go to the store and that is why im calling and I was abruptly told to read my terms and conditions of my contract. Today I called again at 12:28 and spoke to Vusi who told me that Vodacom doesnt give reference numbers and that I can contact Hello Peter but nothing will be done about it and my bill has now increased to R1463.

I have been a loyal customer with Vodacom for years - now I am seriously considering having Cell C buy out my contract!

The reference number that never was is # ********** 59
