Pathetic Service

On the 5th June i received a call from a Vodacom Fibre agent asking if he could set up a meeting to come and see me regarding the packages on offer. I agreed for a meeting after work on the 7th. After a very pleasant and informative meeting with the agent, Rishen i signed up the same day and was told that if approved the process would take approximately 2-3weeks. He also told me that he already did his tests and that both networks are good and i can choose either 1 of the two. I chose one and signed up. On the 13th of June i received an email saying that my application was approved and shortly afterwards another mail stating that the status is now open. On the 27th June i call the Fibre customer service for a follow up. I gave the lady my details and the lady said that everything is ok and that installation could take anything up to 21 days from approval. On the 16th of July i called customer care again to enquirer about my installation. I was then informed that the network i had chosen was not allowed in my complex and that my application had been cancelled on the 19th already. No one had informed me. I expressed my disappointment and requested that a manager get back to me the same day. I was told that this would happen but alas, no one called. I then called the agent who 'signed me up' and was told that he would investigate and confirmed that he would give me feedback during the course of the day on the 17th. After 7pm i sent him a message stating my disappointment and if he had any feedback. I was then told that he would call me the next morning and i should get LTE for R599 till things get sorted out. At this point i do not know where i stand. I have been with Vodacom for over 20 years and very disappointed regarding the way customer service is deteriorated over the years.

So after my application was cancelled without informing me i was now offered LTE, 100gigs of data a month at a higher cost until fibre was up and running in my area. This after i was the representative told me he did a test and i have both frogfoot and neotel in my area. To make things worse i would now have to pay an extra R150 a month as the prices have gone up since i app****. This is a slap in the face as i have been a loyal Vodacom user for almost 20 years. The last agent i spoke to just told me he is sorry. The calls i received from agents were not trying to help me resolve my issue but were concentrating more on making the sale. I am so disgusted with how this was handled. I will be looking at other service providers and will be sure to tell everyone i know to stay away from Vodacom Fibre. Thanks for wasting my time, attempting to take more of my money and for terrible service.

So to wrap up my complaint or query with Vodacom i was eventually told that they are sorry for the bad service but there is now nothing they can do. Should i wish to continue with the fibre contract i would be the new increased fee even though i app**** when it was still cheaper and that the mess up was not my fault. Basically a slap in the face and my issue not resolved. I will be looking for a new service provider and will be advising everyone i know of this bad service i have experienced.
