Pathetic service

I was instructed by the Vodacom call centre to visit any Vodashop to reactivate my numbers , after paying up all my arrears .Cannot believe that I wasted about a hour , my time and petrol and still left without reactivating my numbers. As a customer service professional myself , I find it quite appalling at the level of service provided especially by the call centre. When I phoned in they assured me that the Vodashop would be able to assist me without hassles , however when I got there at Vodacom 4U Kollonade , my nightmare started , they checked my account , according to the lady they could not assist , and that I should go to the Vodashop a few stores away , after repeating my request again they had to call the callcentre , who in turn send us from pillar to post , I eventually , after 40 minutes , decided to give up as I could not get any joy .What I fail to comprehend is that I was not trying to open a new account or report a fault , and yet no one could help me , if that's the way they treat their customers then I don't want anything to do with Vodacom as a service provider , I have been with them for more than 10 years and to date this is really service of the worst kind.
