Pathetic from Vodacom Fibre
Last year, i took out a Fibre Month to Month contract with Vodacom with a Metrofibre line(25/25 for R800odd). We moved house in Feb and i logged a relocation which they say is 30 days. Cool. I understand and waited because Prev and i where coming to DBN for one month and it would not have hampered us. Towards the end of Feb, roughly the 19th i submitted all my documents of where im moving from to where the line needs to activated. Cool. You guys with me? Now this is where the nightmare starts... The person that called me to sort the relocation out forced me and told me that only Vuma is available in my complex even though i had said the previous owner had Supersonic and a Metrofibre line, I even sent them his invoices to prove it. I did not want Vuma and specifically said i want metrofibre because its a faster line and cheaper than Vuma which is a 20/20 line for R1200 odd, In April i finally gt a call back and the Agent emailed me Vuma contract packages and told me if i dont respond in 2 days the call will be closed. So right there i did not have an option and was forced to make a decision. I signed the electronic contract. They said the new router will be delivered in 3-5 days, so by this time i was excited, thinking things are starting to happen and................ That didnt even happen, one week later i get an sms from RAM saying that the address was incorrect for delivery and they returned the router to Vodacom , they had been given the old address where i moved from to deliver the new router.... like HOW!!!!!. Every day i called Vodacom. They cant do anything at this point, they have to send another Router and i need to Sign a new contract again, April is now Finished and we in May. NOW, i called a very helpful person from Vodacom called Rashaad in Cpt, he checked on the system and picked up that there was over 10 calls i had made to them and they all had different SR Numbers, He also checked that my Complex had Metrofibre for me because he found out that Vuma is fibre READY here but not LIVE which means i would need to wait another 4-8 weeks for that installation. So he helped a lot and corrected most of the guys blunders. I spoke to him on Friday and Monday i got my router(07\05\2021). So now i have everything i need, my Router, my ONT box which is a metrfibre one, it simply means Vodacom needs to let metrofibre know i can be activated. I call Metrofibre and they know nothing about the relocation, no documents where sent to them, NADA! So an agent called Grace calls me up because i called them every day that i had the router and complained and it finally got excavated. She sent me through a new contract to sign after a a day or 2 and god!!! they got it wrong again and send me a VUMA contract when the dam thing is not live and i need a metrofibre line. She says its a system fault. I have her number and call her, she says they sorting it out. The whole week has passed and now im still waiting. Waiting for a call from someone, anyone from Vodacom. You dont understand the money i have spent buying Data for work for the past few months, Calls to vodacom to see whats happening, every call is 20min and i dont even have a Vodacom number so i pay for it and to top it all off, still paying my fibre contract for something im not using. Vodacom i gave you guys a chance and took out something with you, if this is what people expect from a big organization then you should re-look at how you deal with current customers. You so quick to sign people up and get them going, but once the debicheck mandate is set, we dont matter anymore. Wake up and show up. If you guys need my SR number, please message me. i dont care if you have loadschedding, i also have it and will still take your call and log online for you. Im so fedup, ill even cancel and move to Telkom.
Even better, i got this email now and i havnt even been sent my new metrofibre contract to sign:
