Pathetic disgusting service by the worst Cell phone provider in SA - Vodacom

My contract is up for a upgrade and i went into the Vodacom 4u shop at the Glen shopping centre. I enquired about a deal i saw online in the Vodacom booklet which was under the business contracts. Firstly the lady that helped me did not know what booklet i was talking about(And this a Vodacom shop) . I had to then show her the deal on my phone which she then asked one of her colleagues for the booklet. I told her i have a personal contract and wanted to move over onto the business contract for the Special which was on a Smart L. i was then told I cannot do this as I needed a CK number. This made me very annoyed as the lady did not know anything about business registrations and what a CK number was. I asked her if I was a Sole Prop then what do i do? “No you cannot have the contract as you need a CK number”. Clearly she needed to be trained as she was *********** to do her job. I was then assisted by another gentleman who said “no you cannot have this deal as you need to have a registered company in order to take this deal out”. I then asked for the terms and conditions stating I need to have a registered company which they could not provide. I requested a copy of the Terms and conditions in black and white and nothing. I was told sorry we don’t have this. I was very upset and this is not how you treat your customers. Vodacom needs a lesion about the regulatory acts Example Treating customers Fairly as the exact same contract in the personal space is R689 a month and the Business is R499 a month. This is R190 a month difference for the exact same deal. Decimation that’s what this is. I was Discriminated as I do not have a registered Company and could not take out the same deal as a personal customer.

Since I could not take this deal out I looked on the Vodacom online store and found a deal with the Sony Xperia X phone but was only available in black. I tried using the instant chat function which did not work as no one was available. I called into the call centre to find out if there was any other colour available and was transferred to 10 different people only to find out that the person could not help me and I had to call back the number I called originally and speak to the department I was in originally. To make matters worse while calling the call centre, the consultants answer and cut the call which is very frustrating. I also had overheard a conversation when the call was automatically answered and the consultant was asking another “What’s for lunch” when I said hello they dropped the call. When I finally got a hold of a consultant I was told they cannot see if there are other colours available and I need to place and order and advise the sales consultant to make a note and request the colour I want. So I called into the call centre 45 minutes later and was told they cannot do this and I had to only take black. I asked if they could see which stores had black and was told to call the 082 111 number and ask them to check. I called this number and spoke to a consultant and was told no they system cannot tell me which stores had a different colour and I was to drive around JHB to the different stores and ask them if they had any colour besides black. I then called the Mall of the south Vodacom 4u and was told no stock and I must check with the Vodacom shop there. I called this shop and asked the Lady if they had stock and was told they don’t have stock. I then asked her to please check which shop in JHB south had stock of the phones and was told that she cannot check this which was nonsense as this can be done. (Lazy staff that didn’t want to assist a customer). I then called the Glen Vodacom and was helped by a very nice lady and advised me that they didn’t have it and checked other stores as well in the south but only had black.

After this disgusting terrible service, I will not be renewing my contract with them and will be moving back to MTN in the new year.

What is even more shocking is how Vodacom is ripping their clients off. I saw on MTN and their contract for a similar deal for a sim card only contract was R200 cheaper than Vodacom. I hope that the FSB fines Vodacom for the Unfairness and how badly they treat their customers with the TCF act been passed.
