Pathetic Customer Service with Vodacom

I made an online purchase for a black Friday deal, when I received a call for confirmation of the order they offered me another deal which was more to my liking but they did not cancel the original order.

The original order was then delivered in November 2024 which was incorrect. I call Vodacom immediately and explained to them and that this order needs to be collected and the new order be delivered. So meaning the person did not cancel the original order.

the new order was delivered but the old order was never collected, I phoned them multiple times speaking to multiple people and I get the same feedback they didn't send it to the courier to be uplifted.

if I did not phone Vodacom to ask or query what is happening with this order they would have just left it and made me keep on paying. They never once tried to call me to explain or to apologize.

The collection only took place on the 20th January 2025.

2 Debit orders have already went through and now they say it will take 14days for a credit.

This whole situation was not the customers fault as the person at Vodacom did not cancel the order, maybe because their was good commission on it, who knows, and due to that the customer is suffers in terms of finances and in terms of customer service - Vodacom does not know how to communicate and to think they a network provider - the irony.

I wish I could cancel all my contracts with them but then they will charge me an exorbitant penalty fee.

So you as customer can never win with Vodacom.
