PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE

Vodacom Yet again. Everytime i try to upgrade, i have issues with vodacom. I have been having issues for the last three weeks with my upgrade. First i called Vodacom upgrades on the upgrades line and asked to upgrade to a laptop, i requested a standard laptop. The sales consultant gave me incorrect details, instead of a standard laptop, she gave me something else, not knowing the correct specs i agreed and the order was processed. I then googled the specs only to realise it was not what i requested, i then called the call centre to cancel and re-order the correct item. Another problem arrised, they could not cancel the order, for reasons not known, it took +-6 days to cancel the order. After many calls again to the call center, eventually they cancelled and again i asked the consultant for the specs and again the incorrect specs was given however this was only noticed when i recieved the laptop. I was told that it had all the standard requirements. When i recieved the laptop, i realised that it did not have a cd rom, so i called the consultant again, who said she will check and call me back, which never did happen, i kept on calling and was told that it was handed to the manager who would call me back the same day. The manager never did call me the same day. I then called and left a message and was then told again that i would recieve a call before 5 the same day. No call again. The next morning i recieved a call from the manager, apolgising as she was out of the office. She then said she would try and sort out the issues and call me back the same day. I stated that for my current job i needed a laptop with a cd rom. She promised she would speak to the directors asap and call me back asap. I did explain to her that i am from pmb and that i was on training for two weeks in Durban and certain programmes were loaded onto the laptop that i needed for my work. i stated that my training was ending on Friday and need something to be done asap. i also stated that it would cost me alot of money to go all the way to Durban to reload the programmes on a new laptop. I suggested that vodacom supply me with a external cd rom alternatively they should pay for my transport to Durban to relaod the programmes. And i did also state that i cannot be left with a laptop as i use it daily for work purposes. The manager said that she will check with the directors if they can supply me with a CD Rom external drive, or send me a new laptop and compensate me for the travel costs. she also said she will speak to the directors and also add another 5 gig data for 24 months but she will confirm the same day which was on Friday the 31st August 2018. She said she will definatly call the same day. Up until today 04 September 2018 i have not recieved a call. I called on Saturday the 01st and left a message and then again on Monday the 3rd. This is pathetic customer service.
