Pathetic Customer Experience:Recurring Malfunctioning Huawei Media Pad
I purchased a brand new Huawei Media Pad (IMEI ***) at Incredible Connections Festival Mall Branch on the 3rd of November 2018. After less than a month from the date of purchase the phone just went off, it was not displaying anything, it appeared as if it was off.
Owing to the fact that I am based in Zimbabwe I took the phone back to Incredible Connections Festival Mall Branch since it had a warranty. Upon presenting my case I was advised to go directly to Vodacom Repairs Eastgate since they were the suppliers of the product.
When I went to Vodacom Repairs (Eastgate), initially they disowned the tablet because the IMEI was not showing in their system.Because I was rushing back to Zimbabwe I had to leave the tablet with Incredible Connections Eastgate Branch to investigate and resolve the matter. I later on learnt that indeed the tablet was supp**** by Vodacom and it was booked for repairs on the 29th of March 2019 (Job Number ***).
The phone was fixed, however it was short lived and the same problem relapsed and I returned the phone again in June 2019.
The problem was fixed but again it was shortlived and I was forced to rebook the phone for the 3rd time on the 12th of September 2019 (Job number ***). I then received a text message from Vodacom Repairs requesting for proof of purchase. I promptly supp**** the receipt and I called the branch and got confirmation that indeed they had received the proof of purchase.
I was however taken aback and very disappointed when I called on the 7th of October 2019, I was told to resubmit the proof of payment, by this time I anticipated a concrete response on progress. It was so disheartening to learn there was no progress. The service received is pathetic and appalling, I am so much inconvenienced.
Despite only enjoying the phone for less than 2 months (cumulatively) I am now also incurring expenses as I have to call Vodacom Repairs Eastgate apart from visiting them when am in SA.
Surely the same tablet can not be returned 3 times, I doubt if the product is original and in all fairness considering the inconvenience and the expenses being incurred asking for a replacement is not too much of an ask.
I am based in Zim and contactable on my Zim number which I have also supp**** to Vodacom Repairs Eastgate (+***)
