PATHETIC AND NON-EXISTENT SERVICE
Well, earlier this month (November 2020) I received my invoice from Vodacom as per usual and noticed that the amount on my account is the same as it has always been, also that the fibre which have been installed beginning of October 2020 is still not reflected on the invoice. Furthermore, on the My Vodacom app it shows that a totally different amount, which is almost three times my usual account is payable. Now today when I phoned Vodacom in order to find out what the exact position is regarding my account, I was told by an operator, who sounded to be very tired and not in the mood to truly assist, that they are experiencing some technical issues and that he cannot seem to get access to the system at the time. Furthermore, I had to hold on for about 20 minutes plus with no solution being tendered or being any closer to an answer, before the call was ultimately terminated after answering their four questions for rating their service. In actual fact Vodacom nowadays does not even deserve one star as they leave their customers in the dark as to what exactly is going on on their accounts with no communication whatsoever to their customers regarding the technical issues that they are experiencing or that they are indeed in the process of repairing/rectifying their technical issues. Furthermore, one does also not have any confidence in the My Vodacom app for buying data on there as the data does not get allocated to your account after purchase. This has happened to us yesterday, and after phoning Vodacom yesterday we were told that the data takes up to 24 hours to be allocated to the account. This morning we had to find out that the data was still not allocated to the account, but the money have been taken with nothing to show for it. Instead, we were told this morning, after phoning Vodacom again and querying this issue, to go to the nearest Vodacom shop in order for them to refund us the money which was paid for the data. On our arrival at the Vodashop this afternoon we had to find out that they cannot refund us the amount which we have paid for the data as the data was not purchased from them, but they can, however, send an email to their Head Quarter's audit department or something to that effect, whom will only respond within 24 to 48 hours. However, it must also be noted that once again there is no foolproof guarantee that we will get our money back! And now they want people to make use of their apps and services if this is the way they conduct their business. I do not think so. Will rather advise people to go spend their well deserved monies elsewhere where people are more enthusiastic about serving their customers and choose to be more transparent about what they put on your account and any issues which may impact on service delivery to their people. Just remember, WITHOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS you are NOTHING and will all your employees be without work if you do not look after your customers, those who help pay your employee's salaries!! Stop thinking about yourself and your own selfish needs and desires. We live in a technological era and the greater majority of South Africans use cell phones, and Vodacom is not the only service provider when it comes to cell phones et cetera.
