Pathetic aftersales service from vodacom

My dad upgraded at vodacom on the 30th of January 2023. He got a new samsung a33. The phones battery seems to have died 5days after using it and doesnt power on at all. Tried to notify them on saturday and sunday but they were closed, so only managed to notify them on monday the 6th. They now state the phone needs to be sent away for assesment to be replaced which can take up to 3weeks which I feel is unacceptable as it needs to be replaced within 24hours of handing it in for assessment as the phone didnt even work for 5days before failing. No effort from vodacoms side to speed up the turnaround time. They just state that thats the TC's and we have to accept it. So just getting the feeling vodacom could care less about their clients or consumers rights. Pathetic service

Booked in and assessed. Yes, i understand 100%. But 21 days turnaround time ?!?! Its a brand new phone that didnt even work for 4 full days before failing which is why I'm at this point of complaining on this platform. Is there anyways to get it booked in and assessed with more urgency and to get it back before the end of the week ?
My main frustration is the fact the the vodacom shop i am using just doenst care, they have a bad attitude and they havent even made an effort to get this process done faster which is shining a really bad light on vodacoms customer service.

So the phone has been booked in on the 8th of February on job card ***3. Only for vodacom to notify us today that the phone was not booked in correctly so they are awaiting parts. So now they are jumping around to get phone booked in as out of box failure for replacement instead of repair request. I mean if the initial issue of a brand new phone failing 4-5days after getting it, they arent even capable of booking in the damn phone correctly. Most pathetic customer experience ever. Doesnt matter if you call vodacom customer support, they just state that process needs to be followed. But what can we as consumers do if vodacom cant even follow their own damn processes correctly and literally couldnt care less about complaints!?!? this is a lost cause. Never been so disgusted with a company in my life.
