My Letter to Vodacom:
To whom it may concern,
Number of contract that was supposed to be cancelled: ********** Contact number: **********
8 September 2017
I phoned Vodacom in March to cancel my contract - I repeatedly asked the consultant over the phone to confirm the final amount for paying off the contract. Even asking if she was sure that it was all I had to pay to cancel and she said yes. I happily paid the amount as I've moved over to Telkom Mobile (a much better service provider) and left it there.
Fast forward a few months (today) and I wanted to open a account and they asked me "what's with the 120 day arrears on Vodacom".
I phoned to try and sort out this mess this morning already and I'm still waiting for a reply.
Apparently Iv'e been handed over to the legal department - for the incompetence of your staff.
I told the woman I was speaking to this morning that if my name was not cleared I would get my lawyer involved - and told her they need to listen to the conversation from March that you people apparently "record". I know what I was told and I'm furious that my name is being dragged through the mud because your consultants are ***********.
Now, I've been billed for how many months for a contract that I already cancelled in March and my good credit record has been ruined!!!

Still NO feedback from Vodacom and now the attorneys are phoning me. Is it time for me to get my attorney involved? Your service is pathetic, my query was supposedly "handed over" to the team leader - well your team leader is apparently also too *********** to do his job.
Who do I actually need to speak to, to have YOUR MESS sorted out?!
