Password Challenges

There is something fishy about vodacom Fibre. So, I changed the password two weeks ago and last week there was a power trip. When the power went on it didn't want to take the new password, but only the old password provided by vodacom. I called again last week and changed the password again. Tonight vodacom share there is an outage. When it recovered it only took the very first password provided by vodacom, not any of the last two new passwords. Is this an ******** organisation? Why is this happening? They could not answer me when I asked them why it only take the original password after an outage.
