Paid up early cancellation but I am charged infinitely and cannot cancel my contract. Paying for a simcard I do not have

My cellphone was ****** at the end of May 2015. I then went to Vodacom to do a premature cancellation as I decided to go with another cellphone provider. On the 1st of June 2015, I paid up my account based on a quotation received telephonically to the value of R5984.28 at the Vodacom Centurion Store. I was assisted by a very friendly, professional Store Manager there. I was given the slip and told that they would process the documentation in the morning (which they did). The next day my number was ported out to the new cell provider.

Around December 2015, I notice that I was being billed again for a strange number. Upon enquiry, I was told that the cancellation was not processed and that I would have to pay another premature cancellation fee if I wanted to cancel my contract there and then and that I should rather wait for my contract to expire in May 2016. At the time I considered upgrading the line so I decided to wait. I then deceided against that and was billed end of May again (which I understood as billing happens in arrears) I phoned the cancellations department in June and asked to confirm cancellation. Was told that the cancellation was processed and received a "migration quotation.". Asked the lady if there is anything she needs from me to cancel the line to which she rep**** "no" and I thought it was the end of it. I was the billed end of July again and received an invoice for end of August. Upon enquiry, I was told that no such request was received or processed. I cancelled my line for the 4th time and requested a refund for all the months that I was billed for a number I do not use, do not have a simcard for and did not apply for. Was told they would escalate it and come back to me. When I phoned today I was once again (like all the other times) transferred back and forth between departments. I finally found out that apparently my line is scheduled for deletion tomorrow, but that there is nothing about the refund.

Vodacom, I would like someone senior to contact me to resolve this. I would like a refund for all the months that you took my money since June last year when I initially paid you to end the contract.

Yours sincerely

So 22 days later Vodacom has still not made contact. No idea what period exactly they define as "due course". ..
