Unfortunately, the lowest rating I can give Vodacom is a single star if there was a lower rating that is the one I would have chosen.

Let's get some background. I am self-employed so my "salary" date is never set. I am reliant on clients to pay me, to make any of my payements. For this reason, I have been making manual payments towards my Vodacom account for about 6 months now.

In June I missed a payment - oops, my fault, causing my account to be in arrears by a single payment. In July I phoned to make an arrangement to catch up on the missing payment by making two payments with a higher amount to make up for the missed payment. I sent the proof of payment to pop@vodacom.

August came and they debited my account with the full amount outstanding. The payment was not allocated. On 20 August I made the second payment as arranged. This would have brought my account up to date. BUT not according to Vodacom.

They suspended my account. I spent hours on the phone and sent multiple emails - NOTHING. NO support, NO feedback, NO answers. Luckily I got to an agent by the name of Zandile Diamond who seems to be the only competent person in Vodacom who made things happen. My account was unsuspended and I though the problem had been solved. One week later and I am in the same spot. My account was once again suspended and the entire process started again.

I made the September payment and received a statement a few days after not showing ANY of the payments I made. Leaving my account with an amount of over R4000 due.

I have sent emails with every proof of payment since the beginning of the year, and I still have no internet.

So the bottom line is that Vodacom will say they will assist, but they are absolutely pathetic. They do not respond to emails, they do not phone back and they do not resolve issues.

You may get "the query has been escalated" but that just means "I don't know what I'm doing"

I have lost time and money due to their lack of support which I plan on taking further.

ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC.
