About 3 months ago I received a call from vodacom offering me a wi-fi router with 5GB of data p/m. At first I didn't want to do this because I didn't want my account to be any more than I was already paying, which was about R865 p/m. When my debit order went off, I realized that my account is now about R985. I then thought, okay that isn't too much to pay more for having a router and 5GB of data. The next month my account was the same amount. Then came December and suddenly my account is R1,231.89. I phoned customer care on 5/12/2016, at firts I was cut off. I phoned again, the lady (her name was Margaret) said their system was offline and that she would phone me back within 15 minutes. Guess what?? I never received a call back. I did however receive an SMS asking if my query was resolved and that I should answer NO if this was not the case and I will be contacted back within 24 hours. I did that as well and Guess again?? It is more than 24 hours and no call back. I am fed up and have decided that I will take this matter further. If I default on my payment I am in breach of contract, but that does not seem to count the other way round if they don't deliver a decent service. I am now out of pocket a few hundred rands and it seems that they are just okay with *****ing my money. And calling customer care is just a horrible experience because it takes forever to get through to a consultant.

Johannes Adriaan Roux

********** 700
