Outragious service

The ownership of a contract for a cell phone had to be transferred from a deceaseed husband to his 87 old widow . The necessary forms was signed at the Vodacom repair Centre, Vincent Park, East London, and R300 was paid for a Simcard. After seven working days expired and no feedback this poor service centre was contacted and they informed us that the number was at legal without explaining the consequences. After contacting Legal it was stated by legal that the application could proceed after allowing 5 working hours. The short version of the problem is that after numerous visits phone calls that was not returned nothing happened during a period of two months of total frustration. This Vodacom repair centre refuses to provide any service and vodacom legal insists that the shop must proceed with th application. Meanwhile after more than a 1000 Km of traveling between Stutterheim and East London for this sole purpose and all the necessary documentation lying at the shop This 87 year old Mrs. Swanepoel is sitting in the old age home without cell phone communication! Beware any elderly people out there - a similar nightmare with Vodacom might be waiting for you!

I cincerely hope that this lady will have a phone before she too pass away. At the rate Vodacom is handling this query already registered as Ref number 0163-3ARX it can be expected that a year will pass without any reply from Vodacom
