Opening ********** Account

Vodacom gave my details to a 3rd party affiliate of theirs called "Mondo Rewards". Theses consultants from Mondo misrepresented and opened 2 new lines on my account. On the 9th of October this year i called Vodacom and spoke to cancellations consultant called 'Zama Kune' and her team leader 'Teboho Rangedi'. They both assured me that they would cancel these 2 new lines and send me a confirmation email. I also requested that something be done about the 3rd parties as Vodacom was the one sharing my personal information with them and they lie and open unauthorised accounts. I was told that there was nothing they could besides get me the recording and i had to take it up further. Which i was willing to do. Fast forward to the 30th of October and a debit order of R500 for those lines goes off and i still have not received an email about the cancellation or the recordings. In fact it turns out nothing was done. I called them again, Zama was off on this day and Teboho would not speak to me even though i could hear him in the background promising to call me back. that was about 2 weeks ago and still nothing.

I find it rather unfortunate that with POPI in place companies like Vodacom can share out personal information with companies that open unauthorised accounts without even checking. Then when the matter is bought to their attention they literally do not care and cannot be bothered to help solve an issue they caused by working with ************ companies like Mongo.

Someone please close off these account, return my money and give me the recording from Mongo so i can take this up as this is against the law.

Regards, Soon to be former customer of Vodacom
