Only Sign Up With Vodacom If You Enjoy Being Stressed

NEVER EVER take out a contract with Vodacom.

NB: to everyone on a Vodacom contract, if you call them more than THREE (3) TIMES IN A MONTH THEY WILL BLOCK YOUR NUMBER FOR AN ENTIRE MONTH.

And the only time I've ever had to call them was to correct their mistakes.

After dealing with several departments and multiple different call centre agents working for Vodacom over a period of a month, I have concluded that Vodacom is an *********** mess. Just some of the people unable to assist me with the most simple tasks (with recordings to back it up):

• Nolupepe at Customer Care • Simone from WhatsApp assistance (Ask Tobi) • Candy, Nolufefe, and Mpho at After Sales • Reuben on the R4/minute paid call centre (especially useless so shout out to Reuben)

I wish I had noted down the name of the initial agent who upgraded my contract and started this mess.

Essentially, Vodacom has an incorrect address on the system for me. The correct address is what I've used for 7 years now, and appears on my invoices and statements, but for the life of Vodacom they cannot get the courier (RAM) to collect my device from the correct address because of some other address on the system as well. SEVEN TRIES is what it has taken Vodacom to finally collect a device, but even then the courier was under the impression that a 2nd device had been added and was still going to collect an imaginary device from the incorrect address. And everyone I speak with says they can't help because it's always some other department's jurisdiction. Even Customer Care! Imagine, no one knows why there are 2 addresses on the system (only I have ever used the account) and no one is able to correct it because "that's another department's problem."

They still happily charge me (and ironically have the correct address on the invoices).

I mean it genuinely when I say that dealing with Home Affairs is far far far easier than dealing with Vodacom. I have decided to cancel my contract with them before I get an aneurysm. But I can't even do that, because they've blocked me. From the bottom of my heart, f**k vodacom.

Lol, dear customer?? When my name is right there. And none of the issues I raised have been addressed.

This just goes to show this is a cut and paste generic response.

The call did not drop. You called a week after my review and after speaking to an ***********, uninformed agent who sounded as if he hadn't even read the review or done any work to find out the history of my issue I decided not to waste my time. I told him to call me back or email me ONCE HE HAD A SOLUTION for my grievances, not to ask me questions which have long been answered, and I ended the call.

You shortly thereafter sent me an sms saying my ticket has been closed despite NOTHING BEING RESOLVED. Useless as ever.
