Online upgrade - takes forever

For the first time, I ordered my upgrade online as Vodacom was running a special deal on a R199 per month iphone 6. I usually do my upgrades at a physical shop and leave with my phone. To "activate" my online upgrade purchase, Vodacom has to call me. I missed calls as I can't be available every second and must occasionally turn my phone off when in a meeting. The call centre makes two calls in quick succession, leaves no message and then marks their job done on my number for the day. I then have to call upgrades and they email the confirmations department. Confirmations then calls again exactly twice the next day in a 30 second period . I have just missed this mornings calls as I was in the shower. I could happily call the confirmations department myself - but have no access. Instead of the 24 hours wait for the upgrade phone, i am now set to be without a phone for the weekend - and no closer to getting my online order filled. Very frustrating system.

Well someone called to say this had been escalated in response to this complaint; but still absolutely no contact from the confirmations department ... and no doubt no movement until Monday, Will never buy a phone online again.

Alas, still absolutely no contact from Vodacom after the call to say my complaint had been escalated. I wonder if the upgrade special was a ****?
