Online Upgrade Delivery ****!!!!!!! Rather do it in store.

I did an Online Upgrade on my Vodacom Account on Wednesday 15 Feb '17. I received my confirmation email at 9h50 that same morning. They called me back later the same day to complete the upgrade and delivery address. they told me that i can expect delivery on Thursday but Definitely Friday. I made my arrangements and moved all my meeting out from Friday to Monday to insure I would be in the office to receive the Handset.

I called Vodacom Today to get a tracking number on the Handset and they told me that I would receive the delivery on Monday or possibly Tuesday.

According to the Vodacom Web site they say that it is next day delivery, I am based in Hartbee****rt and thus can understand that it could possibly be delayed for one day (Not in JHB or Pta). this is the reason i expected in on Friday and was not banking on Thursday.

The situation was explained to me by Vodacom that the Package was only invoiced to RAM this morning, (this should have happened on Wednesday). I am now told that my new handset would only be here on Monday at the earliest.

It took me almost 1.5 hours on the phone with Vodacom, being transferred from one department to the next, with poor service from every one of the 5 consultants. One consultant just put me straight through to the automated "rate your Call" line without even completing my verification.

If anyone is contemplating an Online Upgrade be prepared to wait for your Phone, it is less hassle to just get in your car, Wait for Assistance in store, do the upgrade and walk out with your new phone.

Vodacom thinks we all must just accept their shortfall and lack of customer service, They don’t have any sense of commitment regarding the information or T&C they publish on the Web.
